Skissedilla #46

Here's this week's sketch over at Skissedilla :


And I just had the picture for this one : my oldest daughter's first school photo ! I don't know how the school photographer managed to make her look so cute and "normal" without putting one of her "look at the camera in a silly way" faces !

Only problem : I didn't find any paper to match the picture, it all looked so dull and old fashioned, a bit seventies-like. So I choose a whole different style than I'm used to and this is what I came up with :

Ik heb de eerste schoolfoto van m'n oudste gebruikt maar wat een moeilijke om passend papier bij te vinden ! Het zag er allemaal zo saai en ouderwets uit, dus ben ik maar een heel andere kant uitgegaan en eens een nieuwe stijl uitgeprobeerd :



I wanted to create a playful and colourful layout and I think I've managed so. The mushroom is a stamp from Pink Cat Studio and refers to mushroom on her shirt :

Ik denk dat ik er wel in geslaagd ben om er een kleurrijke en speelse lo van te maken. Het kleine alfabet komt van bij Zeeman en vind ik er zo leuk bij.
De paddestoel is m'n favoriet en is een stempel van Pink Cat Studio, hij verwijst naar de paddestoel op haar shirt :


Het papier en de rub-ons zijn van Prima, de vilt bloemen heb ik met de vrije hand uitgeknipt en vind ze wel leuk zo een beetje onregelmatig :

I've cut the flowers from felt (free-hand hence the irregular shape but I like it this way !) and I've used some rub-ons from Prima as well as the papers :


I'm really curious to read what you think of it because it's so different from my other work but I must say I've really enjoyed making this one, it such a happy layout !

Ik ben wel benieuwd wat jullie ervan vinden (je mag heel eerlijk zijn hoor, ook als je 'm niet zo geslaagd vind!) ! Ik vond het in ieder geval een hele leuke om te maken !
